Cajuns take the series against #16 Coastal Carolina, 5-1. Cajuns are 16-4 in their last twenty and have won 5 straight series. Huge fricking win, baws

Oh well: on Wednesday I said I would be extremely pleased to get 2/3 this weekend. Now that we threw away today's game not gonna say I'm not a little dissapointed....would've loved a sweep. But now I'm happily back to being extremely pleased to take 2/3 from them.
GEAUX Cajuns!!!
How did the rest of the teams in the state do????

Don’t want to interrupt y’all Ragin Cajun Party, but SLU won the series against Sam this weekend in Huntsville. Doesn’t help SLU woth the postseason any, but it’s always good to beat those assholes, and potentially spoil any at-large hope they had.

Big series win from LSU with 2/3 from Arkansas.

La Tech dropped 2/3 against Middle Tennessee which is a killer for them.

What are you thinking is our magic number now? 7-1?

6-1 (only 7 games left) might still not be good enough. We played our best RPI games remaining this weekend and got up to 55th in Warren Nolan's Live RPI.

If we lose 2, then I think we definitely need to win the tournament. Win all 7 and we may have a shot, 6-1 we may have a shot as well, but it'll be right on the edge.

Demons take 2/3 from UIW to move up the standings. Should have had the sweep but not too bad.

Demon pitching is way ahead of last year. I think we need more discipline at the plate but the pieces are coming together.

Also, congrats to SLU.

The Southland tournament is going to be fun. They're a 1-bid league with two really good teams in it.

Should be a great tournament. If it started today it would be

Pool A
Sam Houston vs Nicholls
Houston Bap vs McNeese

Pool B
SLU vs Incarnate Word
Central Ark vs NSU

Really solid brackets and I think SLU, McNeese and NSU all have really good chances to be among the final four teams.

Bracket is very favorable to SLU if it stays this way.

Will be interesting to see how the bubble shakes out. Last year it was literally a massacre across the board, which is why I think NCAA Tournament projections are kinda worthless outside of a general guide going into the conference tournaments

You could have a large bubble if things go chalk or like last year you could have a situation where teams considered “Safe” going into the conference tournament find themselves on the outside looking in after the carnage.

Conference USA is horrendous this year (by previous years standards)

Last year it was I think the 5th or 6th best rated conference and now it’s down in the double digits.

It’s going to be a one bid league if Southern Miss wins the tournament
