Edna Karr is a charter school

I had no idea Karr was a charter school.

The administration may have caught wind & thats what precluded the "vote" to move down to 4A. The tea leaves were there: in the past few months coaches who agreed to help with certain things all of a sudden informed the school they weren't going to help anymore. Something was up.
I wonder if the new principal cleaning up academics also played a part.

Pastor Jay is the person in control and the current principal has been there since 2020. My son and I still have a lot of contacts there and neither of us heard anything like that but it could be true. Honestly, it probably needed to happen if that is indeed the case.

Coach Reggie is an exceptional person who does everything in his power to develop these young men into more than football players.

The same Reggie that walked across the field before a game and told the opposing head coach he was going to slap him in front of his daddy?

because they aren't guaranteed admission.

You can bet your rear end that of someone is an “athlete” they will take precedence over someone actually going to school to learn.
Charter schools are turning out to be their own version of the nil. Some, not all, but it’s getting there.

Worth noting that the new Renaissance campus just about touches LCA campus geographically. I would have to look at the assessors website to see as there is a defunct golf course between them and not sure of who owns what property.

This will get interesting as they will play in District 6-2A together along with Notre Dame. I would normally say LCA would have easily coasted to a title but with the staff changes and drop to 2A along with Trev pulling kids it might make for a competitive district.
