Renegades got killed. Hard to believe with all those great bats plus at least one who played Dixie Youth WS for Girard.

Renegades and Naturals both made it to the final 8 though. The Drillers from Texas would kill all these LL teams no doubt.

They play travel ball and then they all come together to play LL. This has been years in the making though. They knew who was going to be on the team years ago minus a kid or two

Gotcha. That is what I was trying to say in my first post. They basically knew who was on the team before LL even began

I agree. No one from this years Girard team in the Dixie Youth played LL. The tournaments were going on at the same time.

Right. Just making the point that another great player from the Renegades also went to a World Series. Hard to believe that team lost 20-something to 3 or 4 in Cooperstown.

The best travel teams in Cooperstown usually have players from a very large area so of course they will be better.

Sheets older travel team was from all over the state since 9 years old. They would just meet up at tournaments. They would have made a run in Cooperstown if they would have gone. Almost the whole team is already committed to college.

Sheets older team did go to Cooperstown. Ran the table dominantly during pool play but lost in 1st round. Just came out flat. Weather was ridiculous. Rained every day, remnants of tropical storm if I recall.

This might be the biggest thing to ever happen in Louisiana.

The 12 year old Carrollton Blues won Cooperstown 2 years ago.

This team couldn’t hold a candle to that team.

Y’all need to chill

The funny part is that the travel ball team that they play on made a deep run in Cooperstown but did not win it all. It shows the difference between travel ball and LL.

What do you consider a deep run? I was in Cooperstown the year the Blues won. I watched everyone of their games as well as another team we were there with. Cooperstown, this age, is the pinnacle.

It’s not even up for debate.

Top teams at Cooperstown are very good but still isn’t the top tourney because there are like 12 different tourneys a year for Cooperstown (best don’t all meet up at same time). Disney elite used to be tops but not sure if still is

IIRC

LSU commit Kade Anderson came in with bases loaded in the semi and struck out the side to send them to the ship.

Then hits a 2 run HR in the top 1 and pitched 5 innings allowing 1 hit. The other team might have put 3 balls in play through 5 innings. The hit was a swinging bunt that landed in no man's land.

We went to Cooperstown that year. We played in late June. Got bounced in the 3rd round. Watched the talent in the championship, unreal how good some of these kids are.

If you want to see top talent at the youth age, go to NC during the team USA tryouts. This past weekend there was a kid hitting 78 from the mound at 12 years old.

I know Andrade and Planchard go to HC and Berry is in 7th at St Ann on Transcontinental. I don't know why anyone would be talking down to or challenging this team, or predicting the LL demise like JTG. Thye're repping S Louisiana and in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Maybe, one or two will end up Tigers, Sounds like sour grapes or jealousy to me, These are local bi-racial, 10-12 yr old kids organized and winning, whether they come from one neighborhood or many.

MY QUESTION: will the strike zone change today ? and will the 1st base ump be missing 2 straight calls by 3' again?

The reality is LL has the cache because of the $80 million ESPN contract so to get this type of publicity it has to be through LL.

It has the cache because it's over 70 years old and was the first international competition and has the oldest pedigree and tradition.

Which is why ESPN latched onto it and why ABC broadcast it 50 years ago.

No one gives a shite about the newer leagues, Cal Ripken or travel ball or regional new stuff.

LL is the grandaddy of them all...and it's the organization all over the world.

Jim McKay announced LL games, that's how old it is.
