These kids are from all over the NOLA metro area. It’s not like they all live in a certain metro area.

I can agree with you on this....

There’s so much baseball talent in the GNO area, this won’t be the last time you see a local team going that far...

Problem is, this area never really concentrated on LL baseball, it was always Dixie Youth and Babe Ruth...

That may be true. I played in the Pilney Little League in Metairie one season (a long time ago), but it folded after that one year.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 10 years and only just realized today River Ridge is next to Kenner! Must have a nice selection of kids to choose from to make a powerful team.

Roussel and Louque kids are from River Parishes. This team is a group of travel ball kids from different locations collected to make a powerhouse team. Mission successful.

The Hawaiian kids took the loss great and didn't cry like other teams. The Japanese kids looked like they dishonored their family and they were going to get executed when they get home

Bingo. My son played school ball with 2 kids on the team and their dads were talking about assembling this team before their LL season even began

This team has been assembled for at minimum three years.

Everyone does this to get around the LL rules. It’s common knowledge. LL doesn’t really care as long as you set it up properly and don’t run a travel team called Eastbank LL for example.

Looking at the boundary map for Eastbank I am a little surprised Frazier was able to convince Williamsport to let him have basically all of Jefferson Parish as one LL, but that was probably the chip he used since LL has wanted to get into South Louisiana for years. Obviously it’s paying dividends, because that league will explode now.

I’m not saying you are wrong but how is this possible as I know they played on different travel ball teams. Sheets, Naturals, and Renegades. Just curious who they played and when?

There is no “Eastbank LL” travel team. Half the team is from one travel team and the other half comes from two others and non travel ball kids.

They play travel ball and then they all come together to play LL. This has been years in the making though. They knew who was going to be on the team years ago minus a kid or two.

Exactly. This is how everyone does it. Probably 8-10 kids play on one TT, 2-4 on another and then you add 1-2 that don’t play travel, put them all in LL and there you go. Perfectly acceptable to do and the right way to set it up.

Correct. They are not a travel team but are made up of kids from various other locations travel teams. Point I’m making is this isn’t your local Little League team that has great players. It’s a team specifically assembled of mostly kids who play in the travel league. That’s why the talent is so good. They are great and I love watching them play. Hats off to the coaches as well. Done a phenomenal job.

The funny part is that the travel ball team that they play on made a deep run in Cooperstown but did not win it all. It shows the difference between travel ball and LL.

Correct. That was obvious to me just listening to those dads in the Spring. They were assembling an elite team to try and get to LLWS. But I read your response as they have been playing together for 3 years. Maybe they have but i thought LL is just for 12yo but i really don’t know.

Renegades and Naturals finished their travel
Ball seasons in Cooperstown the first week in June since their coaches both have kids on this team.

Fully agree. You can tell they have played a lot together and played a lot of games at a higher level then LL. The reality is LL has the cache because of the $80 million ESPN contract so to get this type of publicity it has to be through LL.
