Count me in the hate Jimmy Ott group. At most, I could tolerate him having a segment or 2. He just interrupts hanny way too much.
I seem to remember Ott being much more manageable pre covid with hanny.

I wish they would give hanny and heater each their own show and put Tbob and Ott on together. That way I can not listen to just one show..

Hunt Palmer runs the best show RE: LSU sports, IMO. Moscona is second. Cannot listen to Hanny because of Ott.

Ott is even worse than usual right now with no major sports going on. He has nothing to offer but gambling on the dumbest shite. Every single time I tune in it’s him hamming it up with one of his Vegas cronies that knows nothing about Louisiana sports. Can’t stand to listen to them talk. Hanny has to be annoyed.

I think when he gets flak, though, it’s less about his talents as a radio host and more about his opinions. He can be very outspoken and opinionated at times and that often rubs people the wrong way. He can be pretty condescending about his takes as well, particularly towards folks in the general public who disagree with him.

A couple of years ago, I went to listening to podcasts and never looked back. I would much rather hear Josh Pate or the Saturday Down South guys give interesting takes than hear Moscona blather or Ott break down the line for a Wednesday night A's-Royals game.

Hunt is ok but too much of a homer
Matt is good at times. And give him credit for getting on everyday and fill 3 hours at the most important time of the day for the station. Afternoon rush hour is is critical for ratings in a sports crazed town.
As far as knowledge goes…

T bobs fake voices are annoying and childish. And when he’s not being a weird pervert, he actually makes good points. I listen to some other college shows on XM and when he is a guest, he does much better. Hester is solid, but nothing extremely special but I like him a lot. Matt off the air and in person is much more likable. His on the air persona is much like cowherd and that is annoying to some people. But he is extremely polished, and after all he hast to talk about his sponsors that’s how he gets paid. Jimmy just needs to go away somewhere. Just awful. Now Charlie he is probably the Gem of Baton Rouge talk radio. Also hunt is very good and probably has the most easier of the shows to listen to. But like everyone else that’s just my opinion. However, traveling all over America listening to local radio shows about college sports or pro, Baton Rouge is very lucky to have who they have. Especially when it comes to college sports.
