I didn't see a St Pauls final of 15-14 over Acadiana

I don't follow HS football much anymore since I am now 5 years out and don't know a single player on the teams. Correct me if I am wrong, Wasn't Karr #1 in 4A and Acadiana #1 in 5A when SPS beat both?

ECA lost 35-34 when their PAT attempt was blocked on what I believe was the last play of the game. Lafayette, Mississippi has a 6' 3" 270 lb QB who is making all the SEC coaches salivate. I heard they are looking for him to play D though.

My Winnfield Tigers beat 3A #6 Marksville 28-7 last night. We have the CST game next week. Thursday night against St. Mary's (Natchitoches) at NSU stadium

howd west monroe do last night?

Played Saturday and won 37-0 over Calvary. Calvary had 66 yards total, 29 yards passing, 4 yards passing in the 2nd half. West Monroe looked pissed honestly. We'll see how the rest of the season goes, but if they play the rest of the year like they did last night they'll make a deep run.

Jeremy Liggins is his name and he'll be a QB at the next level. He made more plays with his legs than you'd expect for a 270lb. QB.

Late yesterday afternoon, Nola.com STILL did not have a score or synopsis of the Brother Martin v. St. Augustine game.

Kenny Trahan called the game on WGSO 990 am in metro New Orleans, so he had a report already up on SportsNola.com St. Aug. SHOULD bounce back, they have some weapons, they had 255 yards passing, not shabby at all. They looked comfortable in the passing game.

They will get the running game going, as well. Leonard Fournette played, I thought he was out for the year, or for a long time. His numbers weren't good, so he may still be hurting.

As far as the Crusaders, after going up 14-0 within two minutes, the offense was good between the 20s, but had trouble punching it in for most of the game. That crap won't work against West Jefferson, and Chalmette. They HAVE to score to cap the long drives they are able to sustain.

Credit, however to Michael McCarthy who was 5-5 on field goal attempts, and consistently pinned the Purple Knights back deep on kick-offs and punts. Their average starting field position was their own 25 yard line while the Crusaders average starting field position was the St. Aug. 49. Those long sustained drives won the field position aspect of the game.

BIG THANKS to St. Augustine, their home game, for the moment of silence in prayer for Mr. Marty Hurley, long-time Brother Martin High School Band Director who's battling for his life after a stroke.
