Bachman is king here. And while we have limited resources as compared to West Monroe or others, we are improving dramatically. Should have new athletic/locjerroom facilities for the spring and female sports done by this time next year. Along with a track redo, and a new football training facility, offices, and locker room done inside 18 months or so.
Again, Rapides parish school board will always be a struggle, but I think he is committed to seeing these projects thru, Just my 2 cents. But everyone has to do what is best for their family, so if we lost him I would wish him all the luck in the world. He has poured a lot of blood sweat and tears into this program including my son and his buddies.

Also keep an eye on ST Fred’s coach

quote:He came from Mississippi. His wife is the ULM women’s basketball coach, and I don’t want him going anywhere. He just led St. Fred to their first district championship in 28 years.
Where did he come from? He’s done a great job so far, and I think I remember he's from that area.

Neville is about to become a charter school
Is Monroe school board mandated to let them keep the building they own?
If that’s the case any relevant football school in the state will be a charter sooner rather than later if it’s perceived to help Neville

Tiger foot….
Are these facilities going on the land between the stadium and the main school building? Plenty there.

The girls locker and other facilities will go where the existing locker and restrooms and concessions are. The stand alone will run north south behind the stadium as you mentioned

He wanted to go somewhere his son could play.

The last time they had an opening they hired the right guy but the good ol boys ran him off to Ruston because he wouldn’t play daddy ball.
Where do yall come up with this stuff?

quote:I mean, that’s the overall feeling from most people I talk to also. Kids dropping during practice in the heat was the excuse, but Ruston and other HS players at nearby schools were also. He wasn’t part of the club, so anything and everything was used to justify the firing. Again, I have no inside info, but that is what’s being said around here.

Because that’s the defacto answer with anything to do with kids. Daddy ball. It’s laughable.

You're around the program, what's the problem then? Huge drop in talent from what I can see, they just can't match up against Ruston, Ash, or Neville. Slow, slow, slow and no identity on offense.

Archbishop Karr is rather good.
But what is happening with Archbishop Curtis. Is the game starting to pass up JT?

Ruston was flat as heck . Hope we get Neville again In the playoffs.

quote:I've never been "on the field" with them but I have seen them play and watched film. They don't have a lot of depth or numbers, BUT they do play hard and are fairly well disciplined so it looks like they are getting some good life lessons and developing as young men.
Like what are they even doing over there they can’t be that small, slow, and undersized naturally
Do they even run an offense? Or even practice? The posters on this thread could lead them to 30 points over 10 games imo
What makes their season long shutout even more “impressive” is that given their history, they’ve probably seen way more backups and scout team players than most schools once the games get out of hand… and still don’t score
