Neville.....because they're Neville

Neville has all everything John Diarse who plays qb wr and db at any given time. A stable of rbs a decent o line an active d line that has good depth. Ricky Wyatt is a very good lb and db are led by Hootie Jones. Kicking is also good and returner is Collins who qbs when diarse is at wr. They run pro style offense

They don't have Cam...I mean Diarse though. He'll easily be the best player in the Dome.

LHSAA state championships prediction/discussion thread
im showing 3-3 for neville and 2-2 for karr in my program from last year?

Its wrong. Neville won in 82, 84, 95, and 09, lost in 83, 91, 92.

Karr won in 95.

Neville did not win in 82 rust on did! Kart did not win in 95 salmon did

Neville also has more titles before super dome era

I doubt anybody here has seen enough of both teams to give a fair assessment. Ive seen Karr and they are loaded. No team in 4a can match the size and speed they have. Most people saw them early when they had zero running game and a qb who couldnt throw the ball. The starting qb has returned since then and he is a threat throwing and running. He is really fast. They also play the receiver Davis at running back at times, hes really small, but fast and shifty. They also have the wr Bennett who is committed to Arizona and the TE Dobard who will sign somewhere in the SEC. He will be a matchup nightmare for Neville. With that said, the offense is turnover prone big time, they throw the ball 20-30 times a game and im not sure how that will work if the corners at Neville are as good as their fans say they are.

Defensively their front four is the best in the state, all four players are going to play in college, linebackers arent anything special but the dline allows them to make plays. Secondary is really good also.

Dont know how the game will go because against most teams the defense could bail the offense out with all their turnovers. Neville isnt most teams, just like STM wasnt. STM almost beat them because of this and Neville can do the same.

Cedric Benson, Kevin Faulk, Travis Minor, Benjarvis Green-Ellis, Justin Vincent, Alley Broussard...WM has seen better and beaten them all. Now if Carencro had a great QB, that would be a totally different scenario

Your right. I got the years mixed up. Neville won in '83. Karr won 3A in '93.

Karr is inconsistent on offense. I'll be surprised if they score more than twice. They havent seen a pressure package like they are about to see and Nev will play Diarse and Brandon Walker at DB on 3rd down. Diarse had an interception in the '09 game and Brandon Walker started at corner that year as a soph. Neville's Oline will have its work cut out for it against their front 4. Karr runs a 4-4 which Neville ran for about 50 years so we know how to attack it.

Dobbard could be a mismatch but Karr doesnt use him enough. He only had 10 catches leading into the STM game where he doubled his total for the year.

Neville doesnt turn the ball over . I think we have 5 on the year and 3 of those were in one game.

Sounds like the Neville/Karr game could be the best matchup of the weekend.

I agree they are inconsistent on offense, but they might not have to score more than twice to win.

Karr's oline is really good, most teams cant get consistent pressure on them. If Neville does, Karr will be in trouble. The receivers run a lot of double moves, most corners cant recover because of the speed of their receivers. Also they might want to play them on defense more than just 3rd down because Karr throws the ball a lot and has a quick strike offense. A key to beating them is making them drive the field instead of them just throwing the deep ball all the time.

you are right about this, I mainly mentioned him because he has been used a lot the last two weeks.

It is easy not to turn the ball over when playing against teams that cant match up with you physically. Did those 3 by chance come against Ouachita?
