Opelousas with the 14 seed is so dumb.

Cecilia at 18 is crazy also.

The four best teams in 4A - non - select are IMHO: Opelousas, North DeSoto, Cecilia, and Jennings in that order

Yeah, that's stupid.

My top 4 are:

North DeSoto, Opelousas, Jennings, Cecilia

I am picking ND to win it all. Opelousas escaped that game last year, but IMO ND was the better team.

Lutcher is pretty damn good as well. Stacked side of the bracket.

And, they are all in the same bracket. The other bracket is very easy, but they will lose in the dome, whoever it is.

Yes, Lutcher is good, but they really haven't played a tough schedule. They do have the advantage this week against Cecilia, playing at home and having that bye. So, it won't be an upset if Lutcher wins.

If Cecilia wins, they have to (probably) play North De Soto then Opelousas (all away) to just make it to the dome. That's a brutal road.

The first half last year in the quarterfinals at Cecilia, Jennings would snap it with one second left on the play clock. They were able to control the clock for a while and then Cecilia made adjustments.

I am curious as to ASHs gamelan against Evangel. Houston is dangerous, I don’t know if you limit possessions or if you just go fast right down their throat. They obviously don’t have super stout defense.

I’ve heard that Alexandria has really stepped it up on defense.

Both lines are playing very well the last few weeks. LB and DB play was always pretty good. OL was dominant against Neville, if they play like that we are in decent shape. JT wasnt in any traffic until 304 yards off line, and he is eally dangerous once he gets to that level.

Clean do you know anything about Amite? My Panthers play them Friday night in Bunkie.

Don't know about their personnel.

There is a thread on sportsline with a little action: Most people think this will be Bunkie's biggest test and some are picking an upset

This will be by far their biggest test of the year. Up to this point Jena was the toughest team they have played and they are a solid team and Bunkie won 41-0. I like Bunkies chances matching up against athletic teams like Amite more than I like them matching up against a team like Epsicopal last year in the playoffs. With that said both teams seem very similar in what their standout positions are. Both have good qb play and solid receivers. If Bunkie gets Zion Lee going and pounding the middle of the filed they will win bc it will open up the entire offense for big plays.

Jena also had the flu that week. I think Jay said he didn't have enough to practice Monday. I know one day there were 280+ students out of 490 sick. I had to drive to Alexandria Sunday before the game to get flu meds because the pharmacies were out in town.

With Uhigh out of the playoffs, is this the year that Shaw parties like its 1987

The finals could really be in the quarterfinals with Shaw vs no. 8 JFK

I heard this as well but per an assistant football coach at Jena they were only missing one starter that game and I believe he played special teams. I guess it may have affected practice during the week though.
