agreed....there was a regular season game in 1A that was cancelled this past weekend that possibly kept a team out if they would have but because they didnt play their season is over and the seniors didnt get to finish the way they were expected to

I believe they did this for teams with positive tests last week. Last game was canceled and quarantine extended into playoff week so their season ended without even being eligible to be placed in the bracket.
But there’s not much you can do in game week once everything is set.

West Jeff’s best win was against East Jeff and lost to Shaw 28 to 7
East Jeff lost to Newman 41 to 0 and didn’t beat any playoff team

Lafayette High is coached by former Lion Cedric Figaro. He coached at Acadiana the last few years, his son is really good. The defense is pretty good. The offense is not. Run a shotgun spread and not a big threat passing the ball ironically.

Wow! I hadn’t realized they had fallen so far. I looked up their schedule, and most of their losses were to decent, but not great, Shreveport area 3A and 4A schools.
They won the Div 1 state championship in 2016. How the mighty have fallen in just a few short years.

Yes, Lafayette high and Mandeville both host so the higher seed should host if they both win.
