New power rankings:
Destrehan is 3
South Lafourche is 19
They'd meet in the 2nd round if numbers don't change. The 3 vs. 29 game meets the 14 vs. 19 game.
However, the numbers will change.

Whats the chances of them meeting again in the playoffs
Depends on how much things get shuffled up by the forfeit.
I'm not thinking the chances are high, though, as SL's new ranking will likely put them to where they couldn't play Destrehan before round 2 or 3 of the playoffs.
Current rankings, pre-forfeit, have Destrehan at #1 and SL at #25. Destrehan probably drops 1-2 spots due to the forfeit while SL will likely jump about 10-15 spots.

Those up at Ken Ramsay? The LHSAA hasn't put up the new ones yet.

This would be a good match up at DHS. Good crowd, plus good jambalaya.

WWL-TV indicates case now moves towards the DHS head coach. I think everyone knows he is involved, but the issue will be proving his knowledge and involvement

Didnt Jordan Jefferson go to Destrehan?

a kid who played for SL and quit the team gave the info to his relative who coached for Destry who asked him for it.

I used to HATE playing games out at Northeast, which we did 3 times in 4 years, because the crowd at the game was fairly intimidating and it didn't help that Doug Williams' brother reffed a few of those games.
His name is Mike Williams, he would also officiate HS basketball games too and he always had it out for Zachary. He cost Zachary a game in the Parish Tourn back in the late 90s against Woodlawn that later he admitted he was wrong but he took a game away from those kids that deserved to win. He's a POS.

SL principal has been asked to have the charges dropped by people representing DHS. The reply was to give SL access to the DHS Head Coach's internet IP address to confirm that he was possibly not involved. We'll see....but it isn't over yet....I can only imagine that the LHSAA would have to get involved again if the HC of DHS was found to be involved....

DHS and the LHSAA had a chance for this to be resolved with no law enforcement involvement, but Guzzardo screwed that one up.
Unless DHS fully complies, I see no reason for them to let up.

Just to clarify, the way HUDL works is that a team has an account managed by the coaching staff. They give players access through invites. Each player creates their own username and password but they can only access film shared with them by the coaches. For example, I edit the offense for my team each week but I don't share my notes with the team. They can only see my notes in a team session with ME. Oversight number one here is that the SL Head Coach did not manage his HUDL roster and delete the player that quit. Had he done that, the DHS coaches never could have accessed the film.
That said, in the state of Arkansas, educators are bound to a code of ethics and can be suspended, fined, or fired over an offense. I do not know if Louisiana has a similar code or not but I would be willing to bet that they do. If so the state board of education could become involved as well.

Reading about the IP addresses. If someone is going to do this cloak and dagger shite, you'd think they would set up a proxy to mask their IP.
Just sayin....
Just sayin....

No charges should be pressed. I'm sorry but that is kind of excessive.

You been reading this thread?
It only got to that point because the associate head of the LHSAA tried to completely dismiss the thing after having a brief conversation with the Destrehan coach, not even bothering to show up to South Lafourche for an investigation.
If the LHSAA had gotten off their asses to begin with, or Destrehan had fessed up when asked originally by the LHSAA, no charges would be involved.

So you're telling me charges against these guys are warranted because the lhsaa didn't do anything but if they did charges wouldn't be pressed? I just feel its a silly reason to press charges. Now these charges may be nothing more than a ticket which I'm not sure if it is or isn't. I guess what I'm saying there should be another route available than going to te authorities over a football game.

Ok, but the LHSAA finally did get involved. Criminal charges are entirely overboard.
What next? Arrest the baseball coach for stealing pitcher/catcher signals?

It's misdemeanor charges which would get them a fine of a few hundred dollars and up to 6 months in jail.
The charges are pretty much a big stick to whack the DHS coaches with if they, the school, or the parish school board refuse to cooperate.
If SL gets the identities of the people who hold the IP addresses they're looking for, there's no reason for them to press charges.
I'm sure SL feels, and I'd agree with them, that they're not getting the whole story here since the LHSAA and Destrehan tried to bury this thing at the start before charges were filed.
