AC lost last year to LCA by less than a TD with both RBs outbamd a QB playing with a cast on his throwing hand. Tomorrow everyone is playing. I will take AC.

LCA was without their starting QB last year and beat the breaks off of the 2nd best team behind LCA in 1-A this year, who beat AC earlier. I don’t think the game will be close. LCA could have a bad game though.

Also, they beat them 10-0 last year. That’s not less than a TD.

West Monroe hasn't allowed a single point throughout the playoffs. I'm going with WM.

For all of you picking Catholic High of NI over ND, keep in mind that ND beat them in NI 49-0 in week 4 and the game was called with 8 minutes left because of lightning.

I know it's similar to last year, but I promise you ND will not make that mistake again.

Also keep in mind that the same thing happened the year before in the regular season when ND beat them 37-0 and then CHNI beat them in the state championship game when it counted 33-16. Like I said, they were also playing in the rain with a starting qb that it was only his 3rd game ever starting. ND may very well win, and even win big...but CHNI could surprise people. I will say this, Indest (CHNI coach) will be well prepared for this game. He had sent a small army to the ND/Newman game to take notes, video, and see what formations/plays they like to run. I think there will also be a lot of trick plays incorporated into this game by CHNI. I think the way to beat ND is to somehow put it on them early and get a big lead and make them have to play from behind. The only thing that worries me about CHNI is that they're almost no threat to pass the ball. Their qb is a phenomal athlete, but all he does is handoff or keep the ball with lots of misdirection reads. Even if someone is WIDE OPEN, I'm not sure he would throw it.

a 2a school easily can when they sit some folks, because in effect after they got down 14-0... they had no shot.. they lost 2 games this year.... both to teams still playing last week...

although Catholic of NI avenged an in season lost last year to win against ND in the Dome, you must of not seen the game this year. ND made CNI quit. Granted there was lightning in the area but ND was beating them so badly, they basically called the game, instead of waiting for the lightning to pass. No way ND loses this year, plus the QB for ND is a game changer with his legs.
This.

I hope my Pios beat them 57-0.

I know all too well what happened last year and so does Coach Cook and every kid on the ND team. They went into the game last year like I did, thinking it would be another blow-out.

It won't be like that this year, I promise you.

I think if ND remembers to stay disciplined all game, contain the edges and fill the gaps immediately, then they win and they win pretty easy. If I'm Coach Cook, I'd bring 8 men in the box with a spy on Trey Amos and make him beat me throwing the ball (which he never does).

If CHNI can't throw the ball consistently, ND will kill them. CHNI won the game last year because they had a couple of tall receivers and kept throwing the ball deep down field and either making the catch or getting pass interference calls. I guarantee they had at least 8-10 PI calls against them. Indest just kept going deep and they couldn't stop them.

I hope Cook is prepared for that scenario.

I've been watching Cook's teams for many years. They pound the ball and make you commit to stopping the run, then hit you with a play action long pass for a a TD. I've seen it many many times.
