Landry is really good. And they have Darryl Adams, who can score 40

Iowa a 17 seed this year? Didn't they make a great run last year? Was it the crop of seniors they had?

They graduated a large group of seniors. I think the coach retired. And Victor Fisher transferred. I see Jeremiah Bushnell playing a lot of 7v7. I don’t know if he’s playing hoops.
Adams is a senior.

If you don't think Liberty plays disciplined basketball, I don't know what you're watching.
Opposing coaches marvel about their defensive acumen.
being more athletic and using it to your advantage defensively does not equal being more disciplined. I've never seen them play so I have no idea if they are actually disciplined, but considering how basketball is coached in AAU now a days, i seriously doubt they have the slightest idea how to play actual team defense. They've likely been relying on their athleticism to simply steal the ball and rebound better and then get out in transition most of the time, and then once again rely on their atleticism to score in the open court.
And the fact that their coach is being suspended for shoving another coach tells me all i need to know.

Thanks for the information.

Sounds like you just wanted to argue with me.

I've seen them play over the summer. They are the real deal. Run like a college program.
As far as in season, I have not seen them in person but see them pop up on social media from time to time and looks like they are part of that top Tier in the State.
I see them making a DEEP run and I don't think there's many teams that can play at their level for a full game.

You can win state championships in high school just by beign more athletic than everyone else. Don't even need a coach. It happens all the time. I'd be surprised if they actually practice any type of defensive technique or strategy outside of hollering "PRESSURE THEM" & "TRAP HIM".

Did Coach White frick your wife?
You say you've never seen them play, but you are making very definitive statements about them.
I'm pretty familiar with the Liberty program and Coach White. They are a very well coached and well run program. He pours a lot into the program and has a very high standard for his players. As far as this year's team, I can guarantee you they are not the biggest or most athletic team by far. They play very disciplined and unselfish ball. The communicate well and play within themselves. They
You'd be hard pressed to find a better run high school team in the state.

i'm making generic statements about most athletically gifted teams.
No idea who their coach is, but if he is instilling some discipline in them and teaching basketball techniques, then good for him, and the kids. I've seen enough basketball to know that isn't all that common, even when it looks like it is simply b/c a program is winning alot.

If we could get back to discussing the matchups, I’d love to hear what people think about division three and smaller teams.

I think St. Michael could surprise some people. They’ve shown they can compete with the likes of Alexandria High and U High this season.

St. Michael is well coached. Plays good defense. Puts a lot of pressure on teams too.

I see you were at the Lafayette High v Sulphur game the other night. What did you think of the officiating in that game? Not the reason Sulphur lost, but it sure helped.

There were some close calls that went the Lions' way. That was a state championship crew working the game.

That doesn't say much. They were far too worried about what was going on in the bleachers.
