I get that. But maybe they should have pitched him a few innings during the playoffs. Hard to come in and pitch in the biggest game of your life if you haven’t taken the bump in awhile.

I thought Cowan was the play and then bring back Eager. Like you said, Edwards hasn’t thrown in a while. That being said, Edwards didn’t surprise me as the starter. Senior starting pitcher. Could’ve easily got through the first with 1-2 runs given up. 6 runs on 4 hits is just something you can’t do in the first of the championship. Blue doesn’t seem to want to pull the trigger at all. Both ways. Lot of strike 3s and he’s hesitant to ring anyone up. The HBP last inning was over the plate. Kid stuck his arm out.

Now Blue has no problem calling strikes. Geez two terrible calls the last 2 batters. Unless this camera behind the plate is at a bad angle.
