i think lebron can still be a role model despite missing the mark here.

This is not the only mark he's missed. Look, I'm not going to pretend he hasn't done an enormous amount of good, because he has. But he could be doing so much more with his platform besides peddling these lies.

i agree that despite having a tremendous platform to speak from, he is awful at communicating his message.

They need to just shut the damn league down and not let them play another game. This is not ok. They don’t get to decide when to play and when not. What change will come from not playing? What do they expect? Sorry but the police doing wrong aren’t watching LeBron anyways. I wish they wouldn’t let them play another game this year. And that’s from someone that has watched a little bit of the restart.

And I'm sick of LeBron.

Does that count as equality? Because if it does, we're one step closer to understanding.

What is ya’ll???

I’m independent. I think both parties only care about power and do little to help us. I would like a third party to emerge and blow the current system up. Won’t happen sadly.

I didn’t give you a sob story. Until you have lived in a poor inner city black neighborhood you really can’t comprehend how those people feel and see the world.

As someone who has lived and worked in a very poor black inner city community it is quite apparent that few people on this board, if any, have a grasp of what actually goes on in those communities both good and bad

There is a different worldview when you grow up in those areas. Many NBA players have that experience. That isn’t ignorance, it’s a reality most can’t understand or comprehend.

Maybe he isn’t the ignorant one.
Lebron?

He speaks misinformation about every single one of these cases.

Jacob Blake...yep

Breonna Taylor...also yep

For someone with such a powerful voice, he really should have a good working knowledge of the issues he speaks about, but he 100% proves he's ignorant on these subjects by continually stating things that are factually incorrect or just saying inflammatory things that do nothing to help and actually hurt or only work to further incite the violence we're seeing.

Why aren't they stating they are for School Choice publicly?
Why aren't they calling out their fellow brothers for leaving 60% of African American women to raise their kids and be single moms?
Why aren't they calling out the same leaders that have governed over their communities and cities for decades?

The list goes on. They won't touch any of that shite

They do. Look up the urban league of Louisiana, Mothers United Against Justice, Mothers in Charge, Newark Anti Violence and countless others.

Just because the media ignored them doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

That's the whole point. Why aren't the "leaders" who are in the public eye calling for these things?

The media won’t give the real leaders any coverage. They try.

Media only shows the race baiters.

Black men being calm leaders don’t generate views.
