I never said they were the only standard, because they're not. I'm just saying they may be a better indicator of quality play than "muh he doesn't draw double teams." I mean come the frick on.

He’s making the veteran minimum of 3.8 mil per year for a 10+ season vet but yea, there was a 12 team arms race for Lebron.

Have you ever stopped to consider that the literal billionaire who has chased rings on super teams his entire career wasn't really worried about the salary and was moreso looking to win another championship on his way out? Thus opening the door for the sixers to trade for Jaylen Brown and assemble the starting 5 they currently have in place?
