The tech was a bad call which was recognized but they haven't called a tech outside of that. Kobe got that off of reputation the same way Ron got ejected from 2 games because of reputation when he didn't deserve it. 5 foot aaron brooks is not going to get a tech fouling Kobe with any refing crew.

All I was saying is no matter if your team is playing them or not, you should not be rooting for a hard foul like that. As much as I don't like your teams TexasTiger I'm not rooting for any of them to get hurt. I was actually disappointed when Yao went out he is a great player

They will call a tech on anyone if you intentionally lower your shoulder and try to take a guy out. AB was going for the ball and fouled him. They were two completly different things and not comparable. They won't call a tech on AB if he fouls a guy hard just like they won't call a charge for Yao if he is set up in the lane and run over. It just doesn't happen. However if AB sees a guy running at him and tries to take him out of the game, he will get a tech.
