Haha you don’t think Shelvin got help traveling everyday from Lafayette to Crowley? You literally made my point moron. Plain and simple yall pull solid players from other communities and use the “Catholic School” as a reason to do so kudos to y’all but don’t act like y’all are just a great school looking to give players a better opportunity

I’ve heard it for decades about how ND “steals” good athletes from Rayne High, Crowley High and Church Point High.
You wanna why ND is good in football? Ashton Cassidy, Louis Cook, tradition, discipline, and some hard nosed white country and small town boys. That’s it.

This happened at Hamilton Christian in Lake Charles in the early 2010s. The principal at the time offered discounted or free tuition to boost athletics. It was confirmed by multiple sources after he left, but has left lasting effects. I know this because I attended there during that stretch, and there was a noticeable difference in yearbook photos before and after the principals hiring if you know what I mean. It’s sad because the school used to excel in academics, but now it’s just another LaGrange or Washington Marion. I would send my kid to St. Louis before sending them to HCS.

I’m not sorry I went to public school best time of my life. Knew a couple people that went to ND and the drug scene was way worse than my public school my parents made the right choice I turned out alright to each their own I guess
