Troy and Middle are emerging mid-majors. The only team worth time on a year-to-year basis in the WAC is Boise (who OBTWFWIW is moving to the Mountain West...but you already knew that). Boise dominates every year. Hawai'i had one year. Beside that, they're a perennial 7-5 team. Would you rather get run every year and never have a chance to win conference?

Tech moves to the Sun Belt, the balance of the league is much better. There are 3-4 teams who have a chance to win the league every year if teh cards fall right. Is Tech just too cool to play in a league where it can compete? LOLZ

I started this Tech bash thread this time FWIW...and only because I have a legitimate beef with Tech having some kind of God Complex.

The last time your program was seriously relevant was over 10 years ago...get over it. Even if you are better than UL...not that much better. Get over yourselves.

I didn't know we were discussing University of Louisville. Why do you give half a shite what Louisiana Tech University does anyway? Do we owe you anything in particular? Maybe you could just go fire up NCAA 11 on your favorite video game system, then play as LSU (because that's your real favorite team, not USL), put the game on the easiest skill level, edit the players' stats so you ensure victory, and take it out on Tech? That's the only way you're going to defeat us anyway.

You should definitely read my long post in this thread...it contains plenty of logic. Such as...why Tech should be in the Sun Belt. But...if you don't mind...I'll list more reasons.


Geographically it makes sense.

Natural regional rivalries (UL and ULM, guaranteed sell outs at both venues every year).

A chance to compete for real...actual....palpable championships.

It's douches like you that make every other school think that Tech has some type of God complex. Would I like to see Tech join CUSA, sure. Do I think they could compete for the conf championship year in & year out, no. They could in the Sunbelt. Personally I don't care how they go. Even if they end up as an Independent, that's fine too. Some of Tech's best teams in the last 20 years have come while independent.

Don't come in here acting like you are so innocent and are having your feelings hurt by the big, bad ULL fans. Act like a fricking man, not some whiney little bitch. You are making the rest of us who can look at things for the way they really are look bad.
