But size of the ballpark has nothing to do with it.

ugh, ya think?

It doesn't, at least not as far as submitting a bid packet is concerned. There is nothing in there calling for a certain seating requirement.

You're right. I submitted a bid to host a regional at South City Park in Opelousas. Fingers crossed, I should hear something in a few weeks.

Man, that press box isn't big enough. They'll probably deny it...unless you sent some Billy's boudin with it.

Can't increase the size of the press box.
Didn't ULL have to put Ben McDonald and the ESPN crew in that little deer stand last year?
As for ball park capacity UCLA hosted a regional in 2010 with a ball park capacity of 1,820. McNeese had 2,821 when they played LSU this year. Ballpark capacity is listed at 2,000 but they added some seats this year. With all that being said there isn't a snow balls chance in hell they host.

Yeah, but as one of our esteemed forum members has already said, it's UCLA. They get a pass.

They actually moved Jay and Jeff in that booth. Nice try though.

Nice comeback. That was funny in 2006. Oh wait....

no they weren't.
Ben Mcdonald was in there, and he referenced it has a deer stand because he is an avid hunter, and the espn cameras showed them in there during the broadcast.
i will also say this, he commented that he actually loved it and had never had more fun doing a broadcast because he really got to feel the energy from the crowd.

I knew I was correct but there wasn't really anything to look up to prove it. I heard Ben mention it this year when he was doing a LSU game.

Game 1 of the series between @RaginCajunsBSB and @LRTrojans is postponed because of impending weather. Doubleheader tomorrow at 1 PM

So, scores from around the state of those teams playing:
NWST w/slight lead over MSU 3-2, T5
SLU on top of Nichols 4-0, T6
Kentucky whooped the possums 12-5, final
And powerful UAB is whooping Ruston 13-1.......in Ruston. It was 3-0 UAB until T6, but then UAB got ten runs in....Ruston in the B6 just answered with a run. Now T7.

Tulane wins at Houston 7-1. Now have a 2 game lead in the conference.

This is where McNeese starts getting killed in RPI. They fell 9 spots after WINNING a game. That 229 RPI for Northwestern hurts. Their SOS dropped from 67 to 76 as well.
Posted on 4/22/17 at 9:50 am to Cowboyfan89
Yeah, RPI can be real head scratcher for sure. Luckily for us we have the worlds best RPI expert to help 'splain it's to us on RP.....which he does every year.
BTW, and not sure if it's been noted here before, but the Cajuns would have an rpi in the 40's would it not be for the series with St. Peter's we had early in the year (which we swept). I guess Robe and co would not have scheduled them if they knew would be at the very bottom of all schools, lol.
