Demons bullpen continues to be really bad this year. Had a nice 8-2 lead only to blow it and lost 14-9. Corpus takes 2/3.

McNeese defeats Nicholls St. 11-8, improves to 9-0 in conference play.

Lol SLU got swept by HBU, our season is on life support. 5-4 in conference to start is horrific. Started three guys today batting under .200 and one under .100.

Love it!! If they can go 3-1 this next week, whether it's a win over ULL or a sweep of Southeastern, I'll be happy. These 2 weeks have some good games. Had Tulane and Nicholls this week ULL and SELU next.

I'm afraid if Justin keeps this up, McNeese won't keep him long. Some bigger school (midmajor) will come calling.

Wish I was still in Lake Charles to catch some of these matchups

He is good for McNeese baseball but what has he accomplished?

I was really surprised to see HBU sweep SLU. HBU is a middle of the pack team at best. Definitely doesn't get easier for the Lions facing ULL midweek followed by McNeese.

ULL knocking off Troy was a very good showing for the Cajuns. Troy is a tough opponent. Some props for ULM for winning a series.

Definite gut check time for a few teams this week.

Didn't Tulane, who's been to 2 straight NCAA Tournaments, hire a guy who has NEVER been a head coach?

How is that better than a guy that does something at a small school like McNeese? A small school that very few have done ANYTHING at.

I never said it was. Miss State also hired a coach that wasn't a head coach. Doesn't mean he won't be a good one. If you look at my posts you will see I am a cowboy fan. I would like to see him win conference or make a regional which other McNeese coaches have done.

He'd be the first since 2003 I believe.

Good to see both Louisiana's Warhawks and ULL Lafayette winning their respective Funbelt series' this weekend. The red hot Hawks invade the pine trees of Diesel Driving Academy to take on the struggling Bulldykes at their Love nest tomorrow night for a midweek thriller. Should be a good game.

Yep, I hope he can change that. He's done a great job with changes into a program that needed it. I would just love to see success. With the talent in that area it's strange McNeese has been less than mediocre.

Sad thing is, a lot of that talent goes elsewhere. It's not often you see Barbe or Sulphur players at McNeese. There are 9 players from the Lake area on this year's team, and only 2 are from Barbe or Sulphur. Now, 6 of the other 7 are from Sam Houston, who isn't too shabby at baseball, but Barbe and Sulphur are easily the best teams in SWLA.

I think a lot of those kids just either don't want to stay home, or have better opportunities elsewhere, like Kennon Fontenot, Gunner Leger, and the Jordan twins, and Jared Foster from a few years ago. Like it or not, ULL has been a step above McNeese for a long time in baseball. And LSU is pretty much baseball royalty.

Is there any TV options for the UL at L-McNeese game tonight?

No, because you punks wouldn't play at the Tigue.

Seriously, though, don't think so. I hope we beat the crap out of y'all, but glad to see y'all having a good season thus far.

It's the front end of a home and home knucklehead.

I was hoping CST would have picked this one up.

McNeese has some red hot bats with 8 players batting over .300, should be a good one.

Yeah, we need to learn how to hit, and not leave a dozen guys on base.
