It really isn't close. If Kyrie can become a good pick and roll defender, he can be as good as any point guard in the league.
Lawson had way more college seasoning and you know exactly what you're getting with him. And his shooting is way down this year which makes me think he can't hack it as a high use player. That's something no one can say about Kyrie

I haven't seen much of Irving really. What I saw at duke he was good, but Lawson obviously had the better college career. Pro wise, I have yet to see Irving play. So I have to say Lawson.

If that's the case, why would you even say anything?

Kyrie has a higher ceiling. There's not THAT much separating them at the present, but if Kyrie can stay healthy and give another year of seasoning? Zero question. I'd gamble on Kyrie without a second thought.

And that's cool. I was just saying I have never watched Kyrie play in a pro game. I have seen plenty of highlights. If I were to make an analysis, I would say that Kyrie is more of a do it all, scoring guard. And Lawson is more of a traditional guard.

I didn't really watch him much until the end of last year. I figured he was super overhyped but once I watched him all I could say was WOW! Dude is for real!
