You’re talking about one guy whose said he will struggle if he has to stick to shotgun. You found a wrong mountain to die on with the Brady stuff, but most everyone agrees on the overall point you’re making. But you’re being a jackass about it to everyone.

Absolutely right decision for Kyler.

His signing bonus in the NFL/first contract will be more than MLB.

He also will not have to spend 2-3 years bouncing around shithole minor league towns.

Starting NFL QB by 2021.

All those quick slants & curls the Pats throw, what the frick do you think Brady's drop is on those throws?

I look forward to seeing which team is stupid enough to waste a first round draft pick on this kid.

The A's. I think it's a dumb move because of his size but as a Mariners fan, I'm happy because the A's wasted their pick and get no compensation.

Telling me I'm a jackass isn't a hill worth dying on either. I fully admit and embrace it.

Way more money to be made in MLB with less wear and tear on your body.

potentially. That assumes he makes it to hte majors, which is no guarantee. If he's drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft, his guaranteed money will be more than twice as much as his guaranteed money in baseball. Only 66.7% of baseball players drafted in the 1st round of the MLB draft ever make it to the majors. Whereas 100% of 1st round NFL picks make it to the NFL. That number reduces to 46.8% of players that played 3+ years in the majors.

LINK

So, yes, if he could guarantee himself a long baseball career, it is likely much more lucrative than an NFL career. But the odds are stacked against him. He is likely weighing his worst case scenario in baseball with his worst case scenario in football. When comparing those two, assuming he's drafted in the 1st round in the NFL, football has a better worst-case scenario.

And given Murray already has catching up to do with not dedicating nearly as much time to baseball, his odds are probably even lower.

well those are quick throws, and the chart shows he throws from the shotgun 86% of the time, so probably maybe 1 step.

They wouldn't get a compensatory 1st round pick in this year's draft?

No way does he look as big as Russell Wilson who measures in at 5’10. This fricker looks like Darren Sproles without the lower body thickness.

They signed him to a contract so I don’t think so

You can't throw quick slants while your running backwards, numbnuts. I don't know what you're laughing at.

The A's will put him on the restricted list and retain Murray's rights, but they don't get a compensatory draft pick.

Jeff Passan
@JeffPassan

Kyler Murray will return $1.29 million of the $1.5 million signing bonus money the Oakland A’s gave him last year. He forfeits the remaining $3.16 million due March 1. The A’s will put him on the restricted list and retain Murray’s rights, but they don’t get a comp draft pick.

So he made $210,000 with limited risk? Not bad after all.

Read this thread. There are retards talking about how Kyler will struggle with three step drops. Even Brady doesn't do three step drops, because it's fricking pointless. Kyler is twice as athletic as Tom Brady. People think he can't run backwards for 3 steps?

Nobody thinks that, the point is he won't be able to see over the linemen. Try to keep up!
