Every casual football fan on the planet knows about the Ohio State vs Michigan rivalry.
And this retard is asking "Do we have any more trophy games on the schedule?".

I am shocked this 66 year multi, multi, multi millionaire who was in Utah for the last 30 years doesn’t care about a football game

This isn’t college football of 20 years ago.
The players have no ties to the university they play for.
The only people who care are some of the younger students(diminishing number), the older fans, and the media.

Technically, I don’t think that’s a “trophy game.”

You aren’t wrong.
In my lifetime, there were some football related issues that drove this. The split title in ‘03. I guess I was in the minority in being fine with the BCS title and not caring that USC had an AP trophy. Split titles were always a possibility. Why would I care what West Coast fans and media types thought?
2011 sped things up as well. That was peak SEC ownership, and fans in the rest of the country couldn’t accept it.
It fed fans the narrative that we needed a 4-team playoff, and made non-SEC schools and fans think about the investment into the sport. Football was the face of a university then, for good or bad. With NIL era upon us, I’m not sure people cling to that identity as much.

Whittingham said last night he wasn’t firing Beck right now but would evaluate after the season. Guess someone told him to put the coffee down.

I don’t know what he’s trying to say here.
