watching this fight I now understand that when discussing a boxer fighting a UFC star that people highly overestimate the boxer's striking ability.
MMA stand up has to be aware of and concerned with more than just hands, when you throw all of the other variables and possible attacks out and a high level MMA guy just has to worry about punches, they do much better in a boxing match than most people think.

Well, if the round is close they're probably going to give the round to Ward, regardless of who actually outlanded the other. These past 3 rounds have been close.
Ward does look a lot better than he did in those early rounds.
