Hit the $10 exacta box. Should pay $153 for a $133 net profit.

I had a $2 trifecta box with 13, 11, and 5. How much did I win?

Just curious...what's your favorite tracks (or best for racing?) The only ones that I've been to are the FG, Lone Star, Golden Gate and Hollywood Park. Going to try to make Del Mar in summer when I go down SD way.

Called it 12th post in the thread. Glad I doubled my bet... I messed up not including gun runner and going straight trifecta.

Now, I don't feel so bad about Exaggerator finishing second. I had him across the board, so at least I get P and S money.

Nyquist had a perfect trip. The pace was fast, and he was reasonably close to it, so that was impressive.
Gun Runner is the horse I look at coming back. He was much close to that pace and contested it earlier.

Some co workers went and raved about it so I'm going to go see for myself. I was hoping to work in a visit around the Saints - Chargers game in October but their summer session ends in September.

The race is a mile and a quarter long

Tehy ran the first quarter quarter mile in 22 and 3 seconds

They ran the 2nd quarter of a mile in 23 seconds. This is extremely fast and a big reason why the final time was so fast.

They ran the 3rd quarter of a mile in 24 and 4 (.0-.25 is 1, .26-.50 is 2, .51-.75 is 3, .76-.99 is 4)

They ran last half mile in 50 and 3. generally the last half mile is run in something like 47-48 seconds.

usually when you get a final time like that, it's with a breather in the middle of the race and someone in the back of the pack or off the pace has come home to take over. in this case you had one horse making a blazing pace, and one horse laying right off him , with a bunch of horses behind him that had no factor int he race whatsoever.

go over year. where the turf meets the surf. it's the most "let your hair down" meet of the year. world class racing and the only time you really get to see jockeys and trainers out and about as it's vacation time for them as well. a trainer who will remain nameless got drunk one night at Jake's and had about a 2 hour rant on how much he hated his a jockey that he felt cost him a pretty imprtant grade 1 race that he still hadn't let go.

You'll laugh, but the California county fair circuit is a blast. They race mules.

Can anybody in this thread remind me about Uncle Mo's not being able to get the distance? Seriously, just one of you idiots.
