I would have loved to see a late 80's era Tyson face a Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield, one of the Russian brothers, or even a Foreman Part 2
It was prison that really finished Tyson as a threat to real top level guys.
Even after he lost to Douglas, I thought the Ruddock wins were some of Tyson's toughest competition. Ruddock was seriously underrated and a real threat when Tyson faced him. Especially the second fight when Tyson went the distance, that was some of the most resilience Tyson ever showed.
When Tyson came out of prison, he was never the same. He was just a headhunter who lost focus and plan against the tough opponents.
If he'd stayed himself, the Ruddock fights are the best evidence Tyson could have held his own against a big dude with power. Even as much as Tyson had slipped in the 89-91 period, he still had something.
A matchup with prime Tyson with prime Foreman would have been nuts. Someone would have been out cold, and that would probably have been the heaviest artillery in any ring ever.
