Don't disagree with your example. But the reports are stating she did not hit him, only verbal insults. Big difference in the eyes of the law.

Police can't find him. Gussy got him hid at API while he's on the lamb. Who says they don't know how to recruit!

Pretty much
With the ray rice stuff in the media right now they will have to come down on him pretty hard if he did it. Video will tell the tale

Yep. There's no double standard - words don't warrant hitting according to the law no matter if you're male or female. They can in some circumstances (threats that are reasonably believable) constitute a crime all their own but they never provide a defense for hitting.

You really think any of what that dude posted has a shred of credibility?
There's supposed to be footage of the incident. I don't have much faith in Norman PD to do anything that would hurt the OU program, but white parents usually don't go away quietly.

Especially when he could have walked away

Yep.
Need to let all the facts come out first. All too often, these first initial reports are incorrect. If there is video evidence of what occurred, then it will all work itself out.

My 4yo nephew is reporting Santa's elves are making him an Xbox One at the north pole right now.
Its too early to believe any 'reports' are concrete. Odds are, parts of both stories may be true. She probably just slapped him, if that.

Back home in GA? He is from California.

LINK
"His arrival at Oklahoma was met with plenty of promise and major expectations from Sooners fans. However, since Mixon has stepped foot on campus, things haven't gone according to plan.
ESPN.com's Travis Haney reported that he was finding life in Norman difficult, though."
Looking like he may not be there for long if he's not liking it and getting into trouble.

Wow there's a lot in that link, including PD statement that he'll be arrested whenever they can locate him. With surveillance footage at their disposal and OU owning that town, I just don't see them picking on him for shits and giggles.

If that's the truth, good for him. I see this too much, like literally in real life, women trying to fight with men then call the police when the guy fights back. There is an old saying, you want to act like a man, then I'll treat you like a man. You can't have it both ways. You want equal rights, well, here you go.
Agree with this 100%. Most women want to be treated "equal" until it's time for tough decisions or obstacles. Then all of a sudden you hear, "I'm a girl and you're the man, that's your job!". They want all the benefits and none of the responsibilities.

Ah the old she must be drunk throwing racial slur argument so he is a hero for sucker punching her. LSU coined that with Hill. Wonder if it works for female victims as well.
The "victim" in the Hill case apologized to his fraternity brothers for calling Hill the N-word. He was notorious for acting like a tool and getting beat up for it when he got drunk. He deserved what he got.

There is NO excuse for striking a woman with a closed fist.

There's no excuse for striking a male with a closed fist. If a woman wants to buck up like a man, she should be treated like one.
