As a Steelers fan I love this. 2 years from now they will be on the struggle bus. Not because of Joe, but because they ain’t gonna be able to keep all those weapons.

Why is everyone acting like they won't just do what every other NFL team does and kick that contract down the road?

They'll have him for another 10-15 years. It won't be too difficult at all to manipulate that contract.

He was never going to do that. The current NFL salary cap is 224 million. The 2025 cap is projected to be 282 million. Joes contract will be 12-15 % of the salary cap for Cincy in 2 years.

Because it's the Bengals. The Bengals were a playoff team when Palmer and Dalton were on their rookie deals. Fell off a cliff when they had to pay both those QBs. They wouldn't spend any money on the supporting cast. This season is probably Burrows last shot at a Super Bowl as a Bengal.
