Wow. Interesting fact: this was the Angels' first no hitter since Ervin Santana got his way back in 2011.

Weaver is a legit ace IMO. Screw "dominant stuff".

How shitty would that have been if he didn't walk that guy and the only man to reach base was on a freakin' strikeout/passball.

One of the craziest recent days across sports that I can remember. Seau, Saints suspensions, no hitter by Weaver, NHL playoffs including a 3OT game, NBA playoffs, some other crazy MLB games.

On Baseball Tonight they were saying how he isn't dominant because he doesn't throw that hard

He was before this. If not for Verlander, he's probably the CY winner in the AL.

Exactly why I dont watch Baseball Tonight anymore. He doesnt have dominating velocity, but his offspeed stuff is probably the best/most dominat in baseball. He is one of the best strikeout pitchers in baseball. Pretty sure he led the league in Ks a couple years ago.

its cool to see someone as talented as Weaver be so excited and dumbfounded that he could throw a no hitter. truly a humble guy

I agree. I don't get MLB Network so I don't have an alternative, I wish I did.
