kobe and shaq arent even in the equation to me.

magic, west, chamberlain, and kareem are the top ones, though magic and west are the top 2 to me

Alot of great Lakers, but Kobe, IMO, is one of the best players ever, he would have to be a top 5 Laker. West, Magic, Kareem , Kobe, just to name a few. Also, Wilt, Mikan, Baylor, lots of great Lakers but Kobe is a stud.

And by the time Kobe's career is over, he may very well have a solid argument for the best Laker ever.

Define "Best". Was Larry Bird better than Bill Russell? If you are judged by championships, there is a long line. If you pick the guy who would win in one on one, Kobe may be the best. It's a sucker argument. There is no and will never be a right answer.

I don't see him overtaking Kareem. They outlawed dunking because he was too dominant.
