Where did I backtrack. In what you quoted

Adding this to the plate makes it very difficult.

What has changed?

this is such a horrible spin, even from you

So 1 or 2 statements during the offseason is going to hold him back from that list of greats who aren't distracted by making 1-2 tweets during the offseason...is that your argument?

Nope, not at all

trying to backtrack by now splitting hairs on what was meant by "hold back" is just embarrassing, dude

And I think that’s why most of those all time greats chose not to get involved

They also played in one of the most stable periods in American history, where instances of civil unrest were limited. In the 60's, for example, several high profile greats, like Kareem, Jim Brown, Muhammed Ali, and several others took direct and meaningful political stances with regard to the Civil Rights Movement. Many of them were hated for even taking a stand. Yet barely anyone remembers.

I think you are over-rating how important political stances are to a player's legacy.

I honestly don’t know what you are getting at
From my very first post I never said it’s impossible, and even gave Lebron as an example

I only ever said it makes it more difficult. This will not be what prevents burrow from being an all time great, but it adds a distraction that makes it more difficult.

Exactly, the "nope, not at all" is something he can't backtrack from.

To make his argument work, he would have had to answer "Potentially so" but "nope, not at all" undoes his earlier comments clearly.

So when I asked if it would hold him back, why were you so certain that it wouldn't and instead didn't say, "potentially since it is now more difficult" ???

It makes it more difficult but 100% doesn't hold him back at all which means it can't logically be any more difficult.

Based on what? There are several examples of athletes taking political stances in their careers, and they largely don't ever come up in discussion.

I meant “nope, not at all” in terms of is it a definitive roadblock. I am right here telling you what I meant

Something cannot logically be more difficult and definitively not increase the odds of holding you back.

You were 100% certain it would not hold him back, so again logically speaking, that means it won't be more difficult since making something more difficult increases the odds of failure.

This isn't that difficult, it's ok to so you botched the words there lol.

Guns Abortion Blake Floyd All times Burrow made a statement. I consider that often

To be fair to Burrow, I don’t think guns and abortion are woke talking points. Those are two of the most common arguments of left vs. right.

Someone’s opinion on Blake and Floyd, however, will absolutely differentiate “woke” from “sane”.

His Heisman speech was perfectly fine

Now in 2017 before he was popular where he said capitalism was the root of all evil likely was a good tip-off where he stood on things
