I didn't say anything was PJ's fault. More to your point, he probably maximized the talent available to him, and it still only got them a 4 seed and first round exit.

Any rumors to who will be on his staff? IMO this is the biggest key to his potential success.

It would basicaly be the same thing as the Warriors hiring Mark Jackson which seems like a slam dunk hire now.
The options appear to be Kidd or a re-tread guy, obviously it's a risk/reward situation but it sounds like a risk they are willing to take. It's not unprecedented that someone like Kidd can become a successful head coach.

True, but I'd want someone better than Lawrence Frank as his top assistant if they insist on giving Kidd a shot.
I know Frank and Kidd have a history together, with Frank as the coach and Kidd as the star player in the mid-2000s with the Nets, but I don't see this ending well.
