Jason Collins is a douche and here's why

If he really was doing it for gay rights he would've done it when he was a first round pick and cemented his place as a real champion for gay rights.

He's doing it now once he knows there's no chance of having to deal with the BS of being in the spotlight, dealing with teammates being weird about it, heckling from some idiot fan in every arena who would've made jokes, etc

He's doing it purely for the attention now, wonder why he didn't do it earlier in his career, he says he knew.....o ya bc no team would want to deal with the media circus for a mediocre player a la tim tebow

As a matter of fact without ever saying he was gay while in the NBA he never once championed the rights of GAY people, he never once said "it's cool everyone is entitled to their own opinion" nothing, he played along like all the other nba players who would never say being gay is cool

he is a hypocrite of the highest order

PS - didnt john amaechi say he was gay before?? i remember bc he was on the rockets

saw these in the ESPN comments section cracked me up

quote:

Matt Birk - 2 time All pro, 6 time pro bowler, Super Bowl Champion, anti-gay marriage = Shhhh, quiet you
Jason Collins - 3 ppg, all around scrub, gay = HERO!

quote:

So if i marched in a straight pride parade, am i a hero or intolerant?

quote:

Remember when espn was enjoyable to read and watch?

Oh I see how this relates to sports!

in other unrelated news, I just dropped a deuce.

I bet Obama calls him again to offer congrats bc he's got nothing better to focus on since the economy is just booming

But that's what they want

like I've said before - you could take someone from another country who knows absolutely nothing about America, our history, or anything - lock them in a room for a week forcing them to watch American television and they would come to the conclusion that at least half of the U.S. population is gay/lesbian.

the media and entertainment industry's gay agenda is very strong. every single television show, contest show, reality show, etc. makes sure to have gay characters/story lines involved. they also never allow a gay character to look bad either. its always a "lesson learned" type of story line showing how foolish anyone is who is not in support of their agenda.

I wish someone would for once ask a gay person, if being gay is so great and completely natural, what would happen to our world population if say 80% of us became gay?

What would happen to a an animal species if say all its offspring were gay....would they not be extinct?

If being gay is a gene you're born with then i suppose the gay brethren will slowly die off since they're not reproducing?

All good questions

I don't care what they report I don't watch it enough to get annoyed. But the media in general really focuses on 3% of the population.
Its weird that Asians don't get credit when they are firs to do something for their kind and they have a history of suppression in America. It just gets brushed off. If your type is in control of the media you get hyped for anything and often.

Even gays argue if its a choice or not. For most part ones I am real close to (no homo) think its a choice of preference.
My aunt said she's not hard wired to be gay. If it was wiring and not a choice you would cheat every time someone offered you because you can't control it you just have to be gay. Everything is a choice for her she chooses to be gay and committed.

And then some gays say they never had a choice. So who knows lol:
