you are correct that Kawhi wasn't going to the Clippers unless they got PG. the trade was for both in a sense, and no GM in the NBA wouldn't have made that deal.
Yes a million times out of a million

you guys are judging it based on what SGA became. obviously if they knew what he would become they wouldn't have done it.
No, it's clearly not obvious. Bc when I clearly state, knowing what we know now, would the clippers still make the trade, he answers yes! I've never once said it was bad at that time.

Well then you are an idiot. The trade was to get Kawhi
Knowing what you know now....you would trade SGA for KL?

But whats funny is, we have this thing called "hindsight" that we can use to evaluate how trades actually faired on the court, not in theory.
Using hindsight, was this a good or bad trade for LAC? Would they do it again? SDV has answered yes. Since you are defending him here, you agree?

which is stupid. you evaluate trades when they were made, not years later.

Im sure that long ago you all got over the amusement of the absurdity of Lebron naming his son Bronny, but as someone who doesn’t follow basketball at all, it’s still funny to me.

You know you can do both, right? Have initial thoughts at the time of the trade, and yet still be able to revisit it down the line to see how the trade actually faired out for both teams? You literally admitted you agreed with me
You have this same approach with draft picks? Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf were good picks.

Whats so funny? It was 3 years last week that he opted out. Not sure who pays you, but max 2 years, instead of guaranteed 3 years, is a Lakers win
