Listening to interviews with refs(and watching them), it sounds like they use his game to somehow feel and show that they're superior basketball minds than us normal folk.

You mean they're forced to show the whiny outcry group what the rules are? And they group of crying fools immediately realize the calls he gets are totally legitimate?

quote:

Making calls for or against him can really highlight exactly how good you are as a ref.

Translation: "If a ref doesnt make calls for Harden hes good, if he gives Harden free throws, hes bad."

quote:

So a guy like Lebron drives and if he isn't hacked hard af(and let's be real. That mfer is knocked in the head, grabbed all over his damn body, and hacked hard af right on his forearms all the time with no calls) he isn't getting the call.

The way in which Lebron drives in extremely different than the way in which James Harden drives. For starters, James Harden has a very different body type that can easily deceive defenders in shifty moves. Lebron is giant piece of muscle. Harden just has a more fluid game, Lebron is stiffer like a football player.

In other words, its obvious why they're officiated differently.

quote:

Where as Harden is basically playing a different game at this point. And that point is if you touch James Harden while not in perfect position, or you reach and slightly touch him, it's automatic free throws.

Again, Harden can contort himself in ways Lebron cannot. Lebron is a tank buster, Harden is special forces hitting the lane with precision.

quote:

It's like Harden gets literally perfect and by the book calls every single night while others the typical inconsistent nobody knows what's going on NBA officiating from night to night.

Nope. I've watched a TON of his games, lived through Kobe/Shaq years of officiating, and I do not see anything unique whatsoever about the calls Harden gets.

I would say 60% of the calls he gets are from a straight slap across the arm on drives and those are plain as day 95% of the time.

When he gets fouled on a 3 he either gets slapped on the elbow/forearm or the defender is caught landing in his space which is also a foul.

So on 3 pointers the defender may not contact his shooting motion at all, but if his lower body is landing under Hardwn that's a foul.

Same thing can be said on drives, if he gets fouled and theres no slapping across the arms then you can bet it's a lower body foul such as a hip check. NBA players actually get away with a ton of lower body fouls even against Harden.

Don't watch NBA but do they call a foul each time he misses a three?

Gtfo and no. He was 1/17 from 3 against Orlando the other night, so what does that tell you? It's not easy to put up 17 three point attempts in a whole game.

quote:

I remember Karl Malone saying, the first thing a rookie needs to learn, if he gets within three feet of Magic Johnson, the refs re going to call a foul.

I used to think the exact same thing when it came to Kobe Bryant and absolutely no one ever scrutinized how he was officiated. In Kobe's greatest single game points outburst of his career he had 27 free throw attempts (the 81 points against Toronto).

Not sure if already posted but scoring leaders over the last month:

1. Harden: 702
2. Paul George: 461
3. Bradley Beal: 453
4. LaMarcus Aldridge: 425
5. Steph Curry: 421
6. AD: 416

Harden has 241 more points than the next closest guy over the last month. Incredible

Dude.

For starters, Lebron bigger, longer, stronger, and probably just as flexible as James Harden.

Anyways, you keep repeating things like this and I really can't figure out what your point is. Hell I mentioned how crafty and technical and precise Harden is in my post. You're just agreeing with that and then saying that's why he gets fouled and why Lebron doesn't get fouled.

I'm saying Lebron DOES get fouled. More than Harden. But that Lebron doesn't get them and Harden gets about 100% of them.

Lebron is bull in China shop
You not gonna get the calls when you barrel in like that. Hardwn is always in control. Always. Superior handles and balance to king crab.

Bc he is outta control. He is the one initiating the contact too much.

If someone is set, he's called for a charge.

If they aren't, what in the rule book says you can hack Lebron without getting called for a foul?

This is my whole point. Y'all want to act like it's cool for refs to call everything by the book for Harden and then turn around and say, "oh well Lebron was moving too fast and he's too big for that hack across the arms to be called."

Over that span he's averaging more than 40 ppg, 9 ast, and 7 reb.

I've never seen anything like it.

In his last 19 games:

223 made free throws

217 made FGs

I've never seen anything like it either.

I don’t see him getting hacked without the foul being called. He is just not skilled as hardwn as getting guys to back him Bc he doesn’t have the handles or change of pace body control that harden does. When a guy hacks at the ball on player a he gets ball when he tries the same thing with hardwn he gets his arm. Bc hardwn is supremely skilled and the d can’t help themselves.

You've seen Harden make more baskets from the FT line than from the field in his career. What's aesthetically pleasing about that?

He's an all timer in the embellishing contact department. LeBron is bad, but Harden is absolutely next level.

No he hasn’t. He only “watches” when the Rockets are winning.

Boom hasn’t seen the last game of the season since 1995

Harden is much more subdued in that department than he was a few years ago.

He's getting touch fouls on command at this point.

He'll kick his legs on a 3. He'll jump forward or stick a leg out to change his bullshite "landing area." And he still throws his head at the rim sometimes.

But it's nothing like he used to do.

The handles. Balance. Hoops iq. Passing. Etc etc. stuff that the casual fan can’t appreciate. Casual would much rather see a Westbrook who can jump higher and run fast and scowl. Over the thinking mans mvp, hardwn. Focusing on the number of free throws and not the supreme skill exhibited is a sure sign of someone who doesn’t really know what they are watching.

There is nothing aesthetically pleasing about watching a guy shoot 10-15 FTs a night. It is what it is though.

The man been better than lebron for three seasons now. When The advanced stats ALL agree it’s a done deal. If you gotta a split half of them say one thing half of them say the other well you have a debate. When they all agree, no debate. please please let Hardwn draw lebron in round one. 4 or 5 gamer in favour of CC.
