Was Harden a more well-rounded player at OKC, where he was the third option?

He was an even more worthless defender than he is now.

He saw how pitiful he was in finals games and swore he’d never go back

Only 1 ball to go around for 3 scorers, and Ibaka was a rim protector.

Let this be a case study to never choose fit over talent.

At the time, it wasn't as far fetched as it sounds now. Ibaka was a force of nature in the early 2010s and was young (I think he's actually older than he says).

OKC was still new as a franchise and ownership group and I think had they been a little more forward thinking they'd have just swallowed the luxury tax (like they're having to do now) and won a championship or two.

Water under a bridge now.
