Yeah, and that's not this. This is stealing from Publix.

This. All these "it's theft" people are hilarious. When I think theft, I think Jameis walks into publix, sneaks behind the counter and grabs a sack of crab legs and sneaks out
That's one way to do it.

Or you can know someone who works at the place and they can help you steal in a less obvious manner.

You're not getting what I'm saying. All I'm saying is that this dude could have wanted to hook up Jameis with crab legs because he's Jameis Winston and wants to be "cool" with him so he buys the dude crab legs. There's a possibility that this COULD happen, not saying this is what happened

Which we dont know if that is what this is at all. This could be a random Publix employee that said you dont have to pay for this here. If that is the case this would not be stealing on Jameis part

I dont see how people dont get this angle. It happens all the time with college athletes

And literally no one is arguing that that wouldn't be theft if they were both in on the stealing process together

Bro, I'm not arguing for him to be charged. I don't care that he took crab legs

I'm saying he knew what he was doing. Making it stealing.

No. You're saying that you're assuming that he knew what he was doing.

How do you know? You were there?

There's a good chance he prolly knew, but there's also a chance that he didn't know. It's really not that hard to comprehend

I think the star athletes are offered so much free stuff it doesnt cross their mind as stealing personally.

But he and his lawyer said he stole it? How is that being overlooked?

I feel like y'all are trolling.

Facts: He met a dude who said "yo I'll hook you up every time you come in, bro." He walked in to a Publix, grabbed crab legs from this guy he now knows, and walked out without paying.

Y'all are saying that Jameis Winston thought Jameis Winston had free crab legs for life? That it was legal for him to walk into this Publix and take food without paying? If he needed milk as well, would he take that shite to the check out line? "Oh sir, not those crab legs....I get those free here."

Are y'all fricking kidding me?

I think alot of people think it came to the choice of : 1) Tell the truth and be banned by the Ncaa and FSU gets major sanctions or 2) Just take the rap for petty theft which is nothing and everyone goes on their way with little to no punishment

Now he may have still legit stole them, but that is the reason why he would admit to stealing them when in fact he didnt

We're not specifically talking about Winston, more about whether someone knew or didn't know what they were getting was stolen and if that is considered theft or not. And someone posted the actual laws and it's not theft if you didn't know you were accepting stolen goods

AKA a waitress serves you a free coke or 2 or says chips and salsa are on the house, does that make you a thief? If so then everyone on here is a thief

I'm not going to pretend to know what he was thinking. That's what you're good at.
