Luck is faster, I think thats a given. But if Winston has a stronger arm, what's more important for a pocket passing qb?

The chicken or the egg?

Ha Ed I just went over this. It doesnt matter if his arm is a bit stronger than Lucks. Luck still has a strong arm in NFL standards and can make every single throw. its not like Winston can make a throw Luck cant. And Lucks accuracy is up there with the best in the NFL.

Again, accuracy >>>>> arm strength

Im starting to think you are just arguing everything someone says about Luck, even if you agree with it

Keep up the good fight Ed

Was a good thread though, and I cant wait to see what kind of QB Winston becomes in the next 5 years. Thats when we can bump this and see who was right haha

But how much does it matter if luck is a half step faster, if jameis can avoid sacks just as well? I feel like you aren't crediting the fact that you aren't losing anything with Winston by rolling him out.

Yeah I guess I'm just arguing with everyone oh well.

Well then sir, you just pointed out a flaw that you thought wasn't there. Take his dick out of your mouth and quit gargling the jizz seeping down your throat and realize that the kid is a damn freshman and a bunch of shite can happen between now and two years from now.

You can't deny his natural talent. He is a natural born passer.

In this entire thread all I did was give Winston credit. Hes a great looking QB right now. Never said he wasnt good or anything like that.

But his throwing motion does have a flaw in it, and you already said he does too. He throws it like a baseball. Its a wind up motion that takes a little longer to get the ball out of his hands. 1 of the biggest things that people look at with throwing motion is how quick can you get the ball out of your hands. And, at the moment, Winston has a motion where its a wind up when hes in the pocket. Sure hes working on it.

But thats a flaw Winston has, and you agreed he indeed has that flaw and is working on it. Luck didnt have a flaw.

And im out of this thread. Regardless what anyone says, Ed will just try and argue against it.

Fact is, even in college, Luck >>>> Winston.

And you said if Winston loses a game with FSU he would be dropped down a peg or 2 in your mind. Well let him at least get through his 1st season and see what happens before you anoint him the greatest thing since sliced bread. All it takes is 1 game for you to change your opinion. Let it run its course.

Russell Wilson has a baseball motion too. Arm strength can make up for that sometimes

I disagree. He will probably be a great QB but I don't see him being as hyped as Luck

Why does espn even do mock drafts? Why does the media pick preseason all conference teams and champions?

You're right, I'll probably argue anything, but to dismiss the thread because it hasn't played out yet is silly. The majority of sports media period is based on speculation.

Meh... Wilson at times does throw it like a baseball, but most of the time he keeps the ball high and its out of his hand quick.

Majority of the time Winston throws it like a baseball and drops the ball to his waist then comes back up with it.

OK Ed, and speculation is never 100% correct either. Believing in all of those preseason awards, predictions, etc is just dumb. And like you said, Sports MEDIA is built off of predictions. Sports arent.

Of course, because Jameis could NEVER be as smart as Andrew Luck!

it's the combination of intelligence and drive that impresses me about luck (exemplified by the school and major he selected)... we don't know how driven JW is at this point in his career.

Maybe I'm off base.

The Jameis hype is going to be out of control in another month.

Bama better hope Oregon wins out. Y'all don't wanna face FSU. D just as good with a game changer, not a game manager at qb.

I'll agree that it's a small sample size as of now, but so far the answer to your question is:

Just about everything.
