But anyways I feel like the Bengals should be leaning OL all the way. Let’s protect the #1 pick before we start writing LSU fanfiction.

How did they prove their value? Did college athletics give them the opportunity to prove their value to the NFL?

Yes and college football benefitted from their time with the sport.

Doesn’t mean they owe the NCAA shite

I don't understand this point of view. He can't play in the NFL, cause they don't want him yet. They aren't changing the rules for him. The only place he can play is college football. But you don't want him to play there. So where do you want to play? Do you just want healthy guys sitting out seasons waiting until they are draft eligible?

Hand timed

Conversion to laser time and his real 40 would be anywhere from 4.55-4.63

I think it's closer to 4.45 range, but not 4.6. That's ridiculous

Where did I say that?

I’m not rooting for these guys to sit out, but if they make that decision I’m not gonna crucify them for it, it’s pretty simple

I don’t even know what you’re talking about here. Players like Jamar chase are extreme outliers. There’s only a handful of players every year that could reasonably sit out and have it not effect their stock. If those guys want to protect what they’ve already earned, go for it. If they want to play, that’s cool too. It’s really not hard to comprehend once you guys stop making up these elaborate and made up arguments that you think I’m making

What about their coaches? Their teammates?

If my teammate made a decision to secure millions of dollars then I’d be like hell yeah good for you man

Also that same coach you “owe” would’ve cut your arse in 2 years if you blew out your knee in freshman camp and they needed to sign a new 5 star. So you don’t owe that dude shite either.

Or shite even better that same coach can freely hop to the NFL himself 2 weeks after your signing day

Can you show me one example of a college athlete who got injured and the coach cut his scholarship?

I’ll wait.

Okay sure we can pretend processing doesn’t exist

That same coach can leave for the NFL or another job at anytime and yet I don’t hear you complaining about what he owes to the kids

Point is, you make the best decision for yourself. This isn’t a Disney movie. It’s a multi billion dollar business, for both the players and the coaches

These dolts don’t realize that high school players are signing a letter of intent to play at a college, but their scholarship is a 1 year contract

They want these kids to play 4 years in school because “that’s what they signed up for”, but couldn’t give a shite about the player

Ironically they cry about teamwork and commitment but the real reason they don’t like it is because that player playing for their favorite team is what’s best for their own selfish desires

And it’s okay to want players to stay because you selfishly want them to play for your team. Just don’t pretend it’s because it’s all a brotherhood and we’re all in this together for some greater cause

Why not? We are pretending college players play for free.

Yet another argument I never made.

there is some form of compensation in college. It just isn’t in the same league of value as to what the NFL offers. I stated that pretty clearly earlier

But man you are beating the ever living shite out of all these imaginary arguments you keep creating for me

How many Super Bowls did Bill Belichick make it to by signing "me first" players and encouraging to play for the contract?
