Would be extraordinarily stupid IMO.
Which is why it could be likely to happen.

Was coming here to post this, Jags to London seems very likely.

because they are a 7-9 hour flight from most NFL teams? Are they allowed to host playoff games? you get fricked if you have to play a playoff game in London and turn around and go to san diego the next week?

this is probably the biggest issue.
for the regular season all you have to do is go back to 2 bye weeks and everyone gets a bye after they go to London. the London team can have 4 blocks of home games and 4 blocks of away games, with an away facility in like Youngstown Ohio or something.
maybe a concord or some other supersonic jet could be chartered for that playoff scenario?

Not to mention relocating your family to London may be a pretty hard sell. Especially for a Rookie who does not have that kind of Cash.

do you honestly not see what's stupid about having a league with just a single team on a separate fricking continent that's across an ocean?

I don't doubt it. But It's a pretty big decision for most people. lol
"Hey Baby, I just signed with the London Jags pack up our shite and lets leave the country."

Under my plan the players could just as easily be based at the teams Youngstown facility if they wanted.

Just a quick 8 hour commute each way for games.
It's a dumb plan.

There are logistical problems but they are solvable and the flights are not nearly as bad as detractors make it sound unless you're flying from the west coast.

it's the best plan out there
international expansion is coming whether you like it or not because that's where the future growth is. And not just the NFL, either.

Are you retarded?
Flights from your beautiful Youngstown home base are 8 hours each way.
From even NYC is 7 hours each way.
LA is 10.5 hours each way.
So 14-21 hours each week in the air. That's fricking terrible. On what planet is that "not nearly as bad as detractors make it sound"?

Before someone comes in hot, I'd like to point out that in my playoff scenario above I said San Diego instead of LA. My apologies

I've flown direct from MSY to Heathrow and it's just not that bad an experience. Add in these flights would be chartered and IMO the concerns are overblown.
Besides, just bring back 2 bye weeks and teams get a bye after they go to London. London team plays blocks of 4 games so they only make the flight a handful of times a season.
Playoffs are the trickiest part.

Awesome. A little extra leg room for the 10.5 flight from LA.
