AGAIN, for the people in the back, racism is defined as the belief that one’s race is superior to others. How in the hell does this example fit that definition. Secondly, I guarantee you that Morris, in no way, believes he’s superior to Ohtani.

Have you never watched Looney Tunes? Elmer Fudd used to say "be very, very quiet" when chasing down Bugs Bunny. Whenever Elmer said "very, very", he did it in the same voice as Jack Morris did. Morris was clearly just trying to inject a little humor by making a very well known pop culture reference.

Elmer Fudd says veWy with a W.

Morris emphasized and rolls the R in very with a very poor accent.

And in an effort to provide further credibility to my claim here is the same guy saying Sayonara with the same accent

Two completely different statements.

If you feel it's still Elmer Fudd in light of my response cool that's your opinion. But I haven't seen any Elmer Fudd impersonation by him, he actually tried to imitate a Japanese accent on air and he coincidently uses the same or similar accent when a Japanese man is referenced that is somehow confused with Elmer Fudd the evidence supports it was a poor tasted joke.

Who cares? It was a joke. Can people not make jokes anymore? Why are people wound so tight and wait looking to be offended at the first chance? People need to laugh more.

He apologized to Ohtani and he should be the only person that could have taken offense to that comment.

One was a joke and the other was a controversial opinion.

Not hard to distinguish between the two but that is for you decide and sounds like you already have. I'm not going to try and change your mind.

He's officially suspended by Bally Sports which is owned by Sinclair which is very conservative.

I don’t think he should be fired but it was obviously a joke aimed at Asians. Y’all can try the Elmer Fudd route but it’s not logical.

Morris said with an accent: "Be very, very careful." Ohtani was then intentionally walked.

Why would an adult think this is something funny or to be said at his workplace? Not racist , but unprofessional & silly.

As a Tigers’ fan I’m offended by how terrible the Tigers broadcast is. I have MLBTV and I choose to listen to other teams analysts because the Tiger’s tv guys are terrible. Ever since Mario and Rod got axed the broadcast hasn’t been the same.

Nothing Jack did was racist

NO ONE knows what the term racist means, they throw it out so much, that it has lost it's true meaning.

Also MSB regarding poorly mocking the accent of an Asian person while commenting on an Asian person: That's fricking hilarious these guys can't take a joke! So sick of cancel cultur

Guess who was not offended? Ohtani. Shows a lot of class, hits home runs and respectfully runs around the bases old school with no showboating and preening.
