i agree. games look so much better over the air, at least for me

As we move to more games being produced in native 4K any small visual advantage OTA broadcast have will disappear. Technically streaming should be superior but it depends a lot on various downstream conditions.

There were only about 20 games this year in 4K and the only bowl games were the Holiday bowl (canceled) and the national championship.

This doesn't change the difference in production value between the different networks though.

Until streaming isn't delayed compared to cable/OTA cable/OTA will be superior.

I'm actually surprised that Fox has not tried to wrestle the Rose Bowl away. Fox has the Big 10 and Pac 12 games during the regular season.. I remember during the BCS era in 2006 - 2009 Fox actually secured the contract for the Sugar, Orange and Fiesta....and maybe Rose?

FOX never got the Rose Bowl even when they had the BCS games back in 2006-2009 ish

ESPN controls college football. As an SEC fan you cannot be mad at that. As soon as the SEC signed a deal with ESPN they made sure to put the SEC out in front. Without ESPN the SEC would not be as dominant as it is.
The Longhorn Network is also controlled by ESPN. It was not surprise that Texas joined the SEC. If you're not a fan of the SEC you can see college football dying a quick death.
The Big 12 is associated with Fox Sports. ESPN took Oklahoma and Texas to cripple Fox Sports. That's just a fact. Follow the money and who the conferences are associated with.
ESPN wants the NCAA out of the picture so they can control all of college football. Well, at least the teams that they want to build for their own version of the NCAA. They broke up the Big East because ESPN and ACC had an agreement. This is a known fact and they are doing it to the other conferences as well. So don't bite the hand that feeds you....

I’ve thought the same about CBS and the Sugar Bowl, along with the other NYD bowls that have tie ins with the SEC. All year they pimp the SEC, then when bowl season comes, they get…the Sun Bowl??

Re your earlier comments on the bowls, the Rose and Orange being on NBC are my earliest memories of NYD. The Sugar did have many afternoon starts, but also there were several times the Sugar and Orange were being played during generally the same window on NY’s Night

I get less than a 2-second delay at home compared to OTA, I can't fathom that being of any issue unless you are doing in-game prop betting.

I’m a fan of LSU, and a fan of college football. The SEC started losing its luster to me when they added aggy and Mizzou. Adding Texas and OU makes it worse.

As it pertains to bowl season, the superconference only creates shittier matchups. The 5th place SEC team would smash a 5th place team in any other conference (opt outs aside).
