SportingNews: XFL in Ohio
Bring back the Ohio Glory!!! The first week of the XFL saw Cleveland and Columbus draw a 4.6 and 4.5 rating respectively as two of the highest rated markets nationally. Week two not only saw Cleveland and Columbus draw well, but Cincinnati jumped into the conversation which leads one to think that if they put a centrally located team in Columbus, that the state of Ohio would embrace the team. Ohio is a football crazed state. There has been lots of buzz about the XFL here in Columbus. Dust off the Ohio Glory franchise and bring them back to life. Play the games in the new Columbus Crew stadium under construction in downtown Columbus. If the league can survive and make it, the XFL needs to place a team in Columbus.

Make this happen XFL!!!

2 many teams for the talent already
OL play is terrible. All you have to do on defense is blitz every down. DC is suffocating teams with defense, because they are attacking all game, OL and QB have no chance.

If that's the case then let the Tampa Bay team fold or relocate to Columbus. Tampa barely supports the Buccaneers. Its clear the state of Ohio is watching the XFL.

LOL Yes....seriously though, if this were to happen, imagine how strong the support would be if the team signed say....JT Barrett as QB?

Just to hear every year that it’s the greatest XFL team of all time, then lose in the semi-finals to someone in another division?
No thanks.
No thanks.

Columbus, OH
San Diego, CA
Oakland, CA
Birmingham, AL
After that:

The Glory were a weak entry on the field, finishing the season with a 1-9 record. The club’s only victory came in Week 7 with a 20-17 victory over the WLAF’s German franchise, the Frankfurt Galaxy, before a season-high throng of 41,853 at Ohio Stadium. The crowds – that was the bright point. Despite the team’s anemic output on the field, the Glory were the most popular draw among the WLAF’s six North American franchises. Ohio averaged an announced 30,892 for five home dates
Ohio Glory: Fun While it Lasted
This link says it all. Since then, the city of Columbus has absolutely exploded with growth. A team in Columbus would be a smashing success.

XFL needs a lot more money(TV deals) to be able to pay for better players before they can even think about expanding.

The very first thing The XFL needs to do is move Vipers to Orlando.

I’m not even talking about expanding. I’m taking about making corrections within the current set up of franchises. It’s gonna be obvious that Tampa wont support the Vipers. Let them relocate to Columbus and rebrand as the Ohio Glory. Would be so awesome!! I just still can’t believe the XFL didn’t put a team in Ohio. Playing at the new Columbus Crew Stadium would be awesome!!

I'm not sure why they chose LA to begin with
They can't support two NFL teams
They need to tap into the minor league baseball markets
I bet there would be better interest in cities like that

I don't know. Isn't that what the AAF tried to do?

Columbus checks the minor league box as well.
It's a no brainers aside from the cold in February.

psh. Football players should be able to play in the elements. And it's not that cold for fans. Bundle up
Much easier than sitting in 100 degrees and 85% humidity especially after drinking/tailgating.
