Why would Birmingham get a team before San Antonio? SA's average attendance of 27k nearly doubled BHam's attendance numbers at 14k per and the SA metro population is 2.5 million to BHam's 1.1 million.

Ehh, kinda sorta but not really. Atlanta, San Diego, and essentially Phoenix (Hotshots played in Tempe) had AAF teams.
