I mean I get it to a point but they did play in the Greatest version of the bowl game that your team aspires to every year.

Texas is the most heavily resourced program in the nation by a mile and sits within 250 miles of more talent than anyone of prestige and they hardly win league titles, much less national.

They have a 1-1 record v my boys from poor white trash iowa.

Not a Longhorns fan by any stretch of the imagination, your team should raise banner for this feat

Texas is quite possibly the most overrated college program ever.

Go ahead and compare UT to Michigan. I’ll wait.

Texas is #5 in all time wins dumbass. If we’re going to base our arguments on winningest programs. How many of Michigan’s wins were against high school teams?

If you really want to think about the most overrated programs, Michigan may be the most.

Up until two years ago, Michigan ain’t won shite this century. And even then, they’d only won two NCs since WWII. Must be nice to get to play Purdue and Minnesota and Michigan St. and Northwestern and Illinois and Indiana and Iowa year in and year out.

I’m no UT lover or anything even remotely close to that. But acting as if UT isn’t every bit as prestigious a program as Michigan and Ohio State is ludicrous. Same with Oklahoma. Alabama is more prestigious than both OSU and UM and Auburn has a very good tradition as well. Maybe not as prestigious as the others but don’t act like they’re slouches in their own right.

I'd lose to my rival every year if it meant winning the National Championship. These games mean nothing in the modern era of CFB.

Auburn is 5-6 and the ticket prices are still higher for the iron bowl this year than a top 20 matchup in “the game”
