Welcome to sports, fan. The UEFA Champions League two finalists BOTH came back from 3 goals down in their semifinal second legs last week to land a spot in the finals.

The only legitimate complaint I think exists for the NBA playoffs is that they lack any charm/pageantry/whatever. The quality is excellent, the games are usually pretty thrilling. I just don't think the whole thing "feels" as significant.
Maybe I'm just getting old, but even with great NBA games I just can't imagine talking to my kids one day about seeing so and so do something amazing 20 years ago in the finals. I can still see that for NCAA MM, or CFB or MLB playoffs, although you can argue all of that nostalgia-inducing stuff is on the decline in sports.

I'm with you. I don't really care about the NBA in general so the NBA playoffs don't have much (ETA: any) gravitas for me.
As I get older, I care less and less about certain sports. NBA being one of them.
But it sounds like NBA fans are loving it, which is all that matters.

I used to love basketball but it gets closer and closer to soccer every year.
