This times a thousand. And all you Europhile pansies on the board who say "yeah, so cool, kind of like international soccer, sort of like blank blank FC" can bite me.

This is America, love it or leave it. In America, we have teams with TEAM NAMES. It's a requirement. It can be something admirable or intimidating or scary (like a lion or tiger or bear) or something that fits locally/regionally (Volunteer, Buckeye, Steeler, Oiler). It's how we roll and what makes us great.

Soccer in the US with the old NASL used to be like this. Cool team names like the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Los Angeles Aztecs, Houston Hurricane. And cool unis. Now we've got the eurotrash, euro-fawning MLS, with eight (8) different clubs using as their sole team name "SC" or "FC", three using the name "United", two using the name "City", one called "Sporting Kansas City", and a team in Salt Lake named "Real" as if there is anything royal or even Spanish about the heart of Mormondom.

Plus they went even more anti-American with their full ads on the chest of the jersey. LAME.

Heck no, it’s extremely dumb.

They should just rename the team the Sentinels and retire Shane Falco’s jersey already.

They are going to change their mascot to “swamp monsters”
