I kind of like not getting rained on, not needing layers for cold or hydration for heat, in a louder building, walking distance from the post game party

Personally I've always had better experiences at Saints games rather than LSU games, but i really prefer the professional version of the sport more.

I just think colleges system is way too flawed. The best teams just feast on all the talent and bad teams get the scraps and can only escape the cellar with a lucky up-and-coming coaching hire that can get more out of less. Just super flawed. It's easy to not let it bother you when you're a fan of a high powered program like we are... I can only imagine the pain that fans of really bad programs feel. Like there's no hope.

Save for a few franchises, that's rarely a consummate thing in the NFL. Parity is at an all-time high.

The passion is higher for CFB. The stadiums and cities are usually nicer for NFL. I prefer CFB but both are fantastic.

The Superdome sucks! You sit a mile from the field and the echo is beyond annoying. Where do you tailgate? Nothing compares to Tiger Stadium! Proven year after year.

Tailgating isn't close because it's just a huge thing at TS, but you have to stay near your crowd. The phone service and traffic is an absolute pain in the arse, and why I only do it maybe twice a year. Having it take 3 hours to get out of BR last year after the Bama game... good fricking times.

I prefer Saints games.

Oakland Coliseum for the NFL were the worst experiences for any sporting event in my lifetime.

You serious? Must've been the worst Raiders game ever. Either that, or you have terrible taste. I've been to 3 Raiders home games and they were all great experiences with tremendous atmosphere (granted, two were MNF games).

I'm a huge Raider fan...

Back to going to the LA Coliseum for games.

It was all gangs and thugs and terrible and half empty - I was a college student...and while the USC games were great like when they played Notre Dame, the Raider games were awful.

And Oakland has the most goddamn worst stadium in the history of the world.

Piss backed up at a game and the old cement concourse was a piss bucket...and more gangs and lowlifes.

I love the Raiders but we've never had a good stadium...and the experience is like the early 80's still to this day.

Every stadium has upgraded and the Raiders are stuck in the late 70's early 80's.

If I was on my lawn, it would still be the 1970's.

Only old men like shite from the 1970's like the Superdome.

Get off your antiquated dilapidated lawn...and move on with modern society.

Is Pele going to play in the Dome?

Are you a fan of the New York Cosmos?

It's 2015, no reason to have crap like the rug and carpet that is the Superdome.

That's a really tough question because Tiger Stadium and the Supderdome have uniquely amazing gameday atmospheres.

I'm wasn't alive in the 70's and I love the Superdome. You sound like a spoiled teenager.

For the regular season, I thing college football has a generally better atmosphere, especially for rivalry games. I have been to a ton of college games (at over 10 different stadiums) and about a dozen NFL games (at about four different NFL stadiums).

First of all, people usually tailgate on campus for college games, which to me is more fun than tailgating in a parking lot which is the usual setup for an NFL game.

Second, college venues are bigger and thus there are more people. In my experience college crowds for "good" teams are generally louder than NFL crowds.

But there are a few arguments in favor of NFL. First of all, pretty much all NFL games are competitive games against at least decent opponents. Colleges play a lot of cupcakes, and the atmosphere at those games is not nearly as intense. Also, once you get a little bit old for college bars, the post-game scene is probably better for an NFL game. To use the Saints/LSU example, I'd rather go drink in the French Quarter after a Saints game than drink at a college bar in BR after a game.

I would take a college rivalry game over an NFL rivarly game, so at its best college is better, but college has a lot more sh*tty games w/ sub par atmosphere.

Obviously depends on the teams. I put an SEC LSU game above the Saints. I'd put the Saints game above North Carolina. I would put a middle of the road SEC atmosphere (Ole Miss, Arkansas, A+M, South Carolina) above the Carolina Panthers, but not the Saints

I have season tickets to both LSU and the Saints

Overall atmosphere throughout the year is better in the Dome because there aren't any cupcake games like college

However, big game atmosphere is better in tiger Stadiun for that 1 or 2 games a year
