They lost in the Elite 8...I mean, tough way to lose, but they aren't Indiana, Kansas, UNC, Kentucky, UCLA .... He's doing pretty well.
They also trailed a 16 seed who played 5 guys 40 minutes for 71% of the game. Siennas starting center played the whole game and couldn’t get on the floor in 3 years at Iowa.

side note but this is how dumb the "wade has never been to a final 4 crowd" are at LSU.....yeah that's because it's extremely hard to do, even at the blue blood programs with every possible advantage.
also, instead of looking to expand the tournament because clearly the last few years have told us that isn't necessary, some sort of loser's bracket in the elite 8 would be cool. It obviously won't happen but would give you more games and be more entertaining than letting more meh teams in.

I hate Duke just as much as the next guy but Scheyer is a good coach who is doing a great job following a legend, which is never easy to do.
Yea, his teams have had some bad collapses but these happen to the best of the best in this sport sometimes.
It took Dean Smith 21 years before he won the big one, and heck he “only” won it twice in 37 years.
It historically has taken college basketball coaches a long time before they finally win the big one.
That said I hope Duke never gets it again, but Scheyer is bound to win one eventually if he keeps assembling rosters like this.

He’s terrible and Duke should fire him immediately. Let me know when it happens so I can make some very quick calls to the Mizzou athletic department regarding our men’s basketball program.

No he is not elite. The jury is still out on whether or not he is even a good coach.

Really enjoyed his last home game and last game overall.

Definitely not elite but debatable if he’s “very good” or “great”
